Description

Granite Rock, some of it bomber, some of it I wouldn't wish upon my enemies. It seems to be really hit and miss.

Several bolted and trad routes, Gibralter Rock is sunny most of the day, the wall south of it has several good climbs and stays shaded until about 2pm.

There is no camping in the canyon, but there are pit toilets and picnic tables.

Bring your bouldering pad, you could spend all day exploring the boulders in the canyon.

Also watch out for the horse people, they don't seem to be too appreciative of climbers and can be rather rude.

Getting There

About 4 miles south of Electric City, past Roadside Rock. Take a left (east) at the sign for Northrup Canyon. Follow the dirt road to the area labeled "Equestrian Parking".
