Description Suggest change

Two sedimentary pinnacles rise above the Beef Trail (the hiking/cattle roundup trail which winds its way down the open meadows on the other side of Shell Creek from Highway 14) as it nears the bottom of the canyon. They sit only a short distance above the trail and are close together, making for a pleasant two tower day in the scenic lower reaches of the canyon.

Getting There Suggest change

If you're coming from Shell, drive a short distance into the mouth of the canyon and park in the small gravel pullout on the right side of the road just opposite from the bridge crossing Shell Creek.
Cross the bridge and follow the trail as it parallels the creek for about 1 mile and the towers will become obvious a short distance above the trail. A short steep hike leads to either tower. About 30 minutes from your car.
