Sorry, weather is currently unavailable.

Short bolted sport climbs, conveniently situated in the town of Mammoth Lakes. You can normally access the climbs from late April through November. The cliff faces south, and can get hot in the summer.

The rock is volcanic and quality is generally good, ranging from polished glass to coarse grained with excellent friction.

There are a good selection of climbs in the 5.10 to 5.11 range. Its ease of access makes this a good crag to visit if you are in town.

An obvious crack, Warming Wall Crack (5.8), can be seen in the middle of the face.

Getting There

From the 395, takes the 203 west into the town of Mammoth Lakes. Drive through the first set of lights and continue along Main Street, continue straight at the next set (Minaret Road) and make a right at the next set of lights. Follow this road, Canyon Blvd, until the large parking lot is reached at Canyon Lodge.

Park up at the start of this large parking lot. The trail to the crag is on your right, next to the Austria Hof Lodge.

Follow the trail up the drainage for about 4 minutes on foot and the Warming wall can be seen on your Right.

Hi I left a new pair of Pink 5.10 Anasazi climbing shoes near the 5.11's on the far side of the wall on July 3, 2015

If you happen to have grabbed them it would be much appreciated if you could contact me.

I think I left a .5 BD C4 there on sept 13th. anyone find it? it should have green tape on the thumb loop. Sep 30, 2014
WARNING: The anchors on what I think was the Hot Flash route are severely worn from TRing on the fixed gear. A ridiculously tiny sliver of metal is left....would be a good photo to explain what happens after improper use of fixed gear.

I was just traveling through Mammoth and checked out the Warming wall for a day. I spotted these dangerous anchors from the route to the right. Jul 7, 2013

I have added a couple of fairly new routes that I do not have the names for. If anybody knows the first ascent details for these routes please e-mail me, so that I can update the guide. Jan 27, 2007
