Description

Short bolted sport climbs, conveniently situated in the town of Mammoth Lakes. You can normally access the climbs from late April through November. The cliff faces south, and can get hot in the summer.

The rock is volcanic and quality is generally good, ranging from polished glass to coarse grained with excellent friction.

There are a good selection of climbs in the 5.10 to 5.11 range. Its ease of access makes this a good crag to visit if you are in town.

An obvious crack, Warming Wall Crack (5.8), can be seen in the middle of the face.

Getting There

From the 395, takes the 203 west into the town of Mammoth Lakes. Drive through the first set of lights and continue along Main Street, continue straight at the next set (Minaret Road) and make a right at the next set of lights. Follow this road, Canyon Blvd, until the large parking lot is reached at Canyon Lodge.

Park up at the start of this large parking lot. The trail to the crag is on your right, next to the Austria Hof Lodge.

Follow the trail up the drainage for about 4 minutes on foot and the Warming wall can be seen on your Right.
