Approach to The Fin

This is the approach to Hook, Line & Sinker, and the staging area before the scramble to The Fin Arete. The Gargoyle is about 5 minutes further up the gully on the left; Intensive Care about 5 minutes further up on the right.

Park at a pull-off on the south side of the road just east of the Vault Road. There is a second, larger pull-off a couple hundred yards further up the road that works too. Follow a trail straight north up the hillside to an intersection: Left heads towards the Fin, right heads back towards the Gate Buttress area.

Allow 15 to 30 minutes depending on fitness/pace.
