Mescalito: North Descent

Goes from the topout of Dark Shadows pitch 10 to the new rappel route down a gully. Also connects to a short spur to the summit; follow cairns heading uphill from about a third of the way along the track.

Pay attention to where you're going in the final bowl, and stay skier's right to get to the correct rap route. There is another set of bolts (painted yellow) above a narrow cleft on skier's left; these are NOT part of the nice, new rap route.

After rapping, follow the stream downhill until you get back to the base of Dark Shadows.
