This GPS track shows the most common approach to "Shangri-La" - the main climbing on Potter Mountain Cliff.
- From the parking, walk up the logging road to the pink gate (usually locked). There is a DEC trail register immediately after the gate.
- Follow the logging road past a seasonal hunting cabin to a clearing. Use your GPS to follow the right logging road up and right out of the clearing. Stay on the wide, easy walking logging road until you reach the height of land between Potter Mountain and Little Potter Mountain.
- Just past the height of land (100 yards or so), look for a cairn on your left. It marks a herd trail that is barely visible. follow this more or less straight up hill to the cliff. If you loose the trail, go uphill... you'll be able to see the cliff appearing through the trees.
- At the cliff, follow the trail left 10-15 minutes (scrambling occasionally) to the main climbs. you'll see the "Pancake flake" of Honeybadger and its bolts.
