Approach to The Perfect Crime

About 1:20 hours at average pace. As multiple people say, ignore the large inviting cairns early in the old forest road. Continue on the road till you reach the creek (you'll have to briefly bushwack near the end, but then you'll know it when you reach the creek). Then head uphill. At about 5,100 ft, the trail becomes pretty bushwacky, but that ends at 5,500 ft at the boulder fields.
