Approach to Picnic Area

From parking at the top of the hill under the power lines, walk down into the valley. When you get to the "No Trespassing" signs, head right (West) to the forest edge. Pick up the road that heads back into the woods, which stays on State Forest Property. At the fork in the road stay right. At the clearing, head straight across and pick up a faint trail. When you get to the edge of the talus, you are under Picnic Wall.

Another approach worth exploring might be to come in from Camp Hayes Rd. between Picnic Wall and Dry-tool Wall.
