For a longer, but more gentle approach, follow the Southeast Face approach, but do not turn left up onto the easy rock slope to the three boulders. Instead continue on the trail down into and out of a small wash. Go through the trees working left and then right. Go through a large cactus patch, across a field with a low stone ledge. Keep your heading staying between the boulders on your left and the treeline on your right. After about 0.1 miles, go left through and back above the boulder field heading back towards Buzzard's Roost. When you meet the wall, move left to the first route on the East face.

For a shorter, but more aggressive approach, follow the Southeast Face approach completely, then move right. After leaving the Southeast Face, climb up a steep slab, over some boulders, past a cave, over some more boulders and then up another steep slope. You should be at the left side of the East Face.
