Approach to Ivory Tower

Walk down the gravel road, across the arroyo, and through the gate. Then follow the old mining road west and gradually up—look for the sign on your left at the start. (An alternative track heads up much more steeply.) Soon the trail shoots uphill toward El Bobo. Beyond El Bobo, follow the rocky ridge up, eventually going up a scree-filled gully to the left. At the base of the cliffs, contour left (south) and down.
