It's possible to get lost while driving, so this "trail" includes part of the driving approach. The obvious place to get lost is just after reaching the neighborhood of "Les Alberts" (N44.8276, E6.4955) along the D4 main road in the complicated ski station of Puy-Saint-Vincent. Could park at (N44.8123, E6.5116) if you want to avoid driving on dirt, otherwise, the trailhead parking (N44.8090, E6.5140) is just below north from the Col de la Posterle pass.
Hiking approach goes roughly west about 400 meters from parking. Then about 100 meters downhill west from the high point on the wide dirt road, at N44.8097, E6.5083 turn left (SSW) onto a trail marked with light-blue paint dots and find the bottom start of the via ferrata cable roughly around N44.8092, E6.5080.
