Approach to Sandstonia

Park at the cemetery. Obey the signs. Walk down the powerline cut up and down steep hills. Pass the sign on your left for Kingfish. Take a left at the next sign. Follow the trail down. When you get to the switchbacks, look to your left at the rocky, treacherous gully. This used to be the approach. Thanks to NRAC, there is now a nice comfy switchback trail leading you to the rock.

There is an alternate way in that's much less arduous than the power lines. Park at the cemetery, and walk up the road north until you get to a large steel gate and a clearing. Follow this road down until you see a trail fork on your left. Take that trail until you get to the powerline cut. Walk across the powerline cut to link up with the trail that leads to the switchbacks.
