Description
This is the long and obvious snow/ice runnel in the chossy volcanic rock on the south side of the highway at the Deadman curves ~9000 elevation. It often persists in part into the Spring when the hwy opens.
Location
Park where the skiers often use the pullout to access the snow bridge. Cross the creek only when safe to do so, skin/ski/shoe/posthole up to the first tier. If no snow is on the first tier a trail around to the east for blue canyon can gain access coming in from the side. The snow/ice runnel is the in the largest chossy volcanic opening in the rock on the south side of the highway at the Deadman curves ~9000 elevation.
