Description
Dad Hat is on the left side of the wall just steps left of Effervescent's start. Climb up the left-angling crack with some good jams to a small standing ledge and a wider section above. Climb the final corner to the top either as a layback or try getting into it as one may expect for the woo. Finish your climb with the crux move, and see if you were facing the 'wrong' direction.
This is well-protected with a standard rack up to #4. Belay at the top ledge, and walk down from the top.
I do not know the origin of FA or name, but I refer to it as 'Dad Hat', since if you find yourself at this wall because you didn't make it to Gorilla Rock or got slightly lost and you're not ready to fire up I Crack as your warm-up, this provides you something nice to play on and is a fun climb at an easier grade.
Location
This is the most left line on the main wall, and it tops out on a large ledge that you can see from below. From the base of the route, you can see the roof and tat of Effervescent, the climb to the right.
