Description
A route that looked so cherry from far away yet was a bomb due to rock quality (or lack thereof). I’m posting this more as a means of documentation rather than an endorsement of the route.
Scramble up to a small belay ledge with a manzanita bush. Climb solid blocky holds on the right or less solid jugs/rails on the left. Then, stem up an open book and continue to a dihedral. Atop the dihedral, break right for an offwidth that gradually increases in size. An excuse to break out that #8 that’s been gathering dust in your gear box! Gain a large ledge and easy climbing to the tree at the top.
could be a good 1.5-2 star route with some serious de-chossing efforts.
