Description
Like The Shield, this route’s namesake is due to a little feature in the rock. This one looks like an image found by author Erich von Däniken for his infamous book/movie Chariots of the Gods. If von Däniken were a climber and stumbled on this little “guy” back in the ‘60s, it would now be world famous and probably have “worshipers” coming to Donation to “bathe” in its “energy”. Ha!
Well thank goodness von Däniken didn't find it but you can! “Worshiping” can be made by a solid send of this short but challenging route. Be sure to engage the alien. “His” little sloping forehead only offers a tiny side-pull crimp but it’s necessary to make the send official.
