Access Issue: Private Property and Illinois Registered Land and Water Reserve Details

Most of the climbing at Fountain Bluff occurs on private property.
This climbing area is encumbered by a conservation easement, known as an Illinois registered Land and Water Reserve (LWR) as of 2024. Allowable uses are regulated and the natural resources on site are protected by law. Please refer to LWR section for more details.

Description

Beautiful coverpage/testpiece boulder. This is the real deal! That boulder has seen multiple eras of existence. Originally cleaned and de-vined by Alec Tilley, Jim Thurmond, and James Thurmond in 2019. Years later in 2024, Jim Thurmond removed the large rocks from around the landing to make this one of the best boulders in the area. Multiple bolts up top exist to aid in cleaning and working of routes. Big thank you to all of you who helped open up "That Boulder"
