Shaded by trees for most of the day but as the sun goes down, the angle of climbing can be kind of blinding.

Getting There Suggest change

Option 1:
Plug "45.281604, -113.946507" into google maps. Apple maps will try to take you the long way. This will take you to where you can park. Then plugin "45.281740, -113.947660" to find the Boulder. From parking, The boulder is west, up the hill about 50-100 meters.

Option 2: From Salmon

Follow Highway 93 north for 3.5 miles and turn left to the fairgrounds. Follow Diamond Creek Rd for about 1.8 miles and turn left onto Diamond Creek at the stone wall and Trailer Home. Follow diamond Creek for 6.5 miles until you reach the split. Turn left up Wallace Creek for .2 miles to the first hair point turn and park. To find the actual boulder, look to the west, which should be to your right. The boulder can be seen from parking and is about 50-100 meters away.
