Description
North Table Mountain is a volcanic butte in the Leucite Hills northeast of Rock Springs. It is overshadowed by its neighbor, South Table Mountain. It overlooks the Killpecker Sand dunes with views of both the Wind River Mountains and the Uinta Mountains.
Getting There
Go east of Rock Springs on hwy 191. Take country road 17 (dirt). Follow road past Boars Tusk and take a right on the Tri County loop (toward North and South Table Mountains). Once you are below North Table, take a right on a two track that appears after a small uphill bend in the road. This two track will take you up to the saddle between North and South Table Mountain.
