The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description

Defined by the prominent roof of Emotional Rescue, this wall is also home to the fun and highly recommended Lubricated Goat - Bish combo.

Getting There

Hike past the north end of Barker Dam skirting Oasis Rock to reach this secluded face. Plan on 20 minutes or so for the approach which involves a bit of scrambling in spots.

Unknown Lieback (yellow) already entirely in winter late morning shade. Located to the right of damside Rat and Oasis Rocks, and just left of big roof of Bish and Emotional Rescue. Dec 2019

Just a heads up the pin for this area is on the wrong side of the formation, you just keep walking up through the wash until it pops up on your left. Plus bish and the roof are visible in the distance before you reach the dam. Look for the huge roof of emotional rescue that is bisected by a vertical crack, and which has a dike running across it (this dike is bish). Dec 8, 2023
