Description

A great boulder up near the Guild Trail. Signature round hueco dishes and other sculpted holds make for fun up problems and traverse opportunities.

The Asteroid boulder sits in the woods near the top of the boulder field. Hueco/Dish holds cover approximately 180 degrees of this saucer shaped boulder. What it lacks in height, it makes up for in rock quality, overhanging sit starts, and traverse-ability.

Getting There

Refer to map. Higher up the hill by a three minute walk. Or access from above, via the Guild Trail.

From the upper parking area on Old Wauhatchie Pike, walk up the paved drive (you will go around a gate) and passed The Fall boulder. When you reach the Buena Vista boulder, turn left onto the trail. Follow this trail to the top of the hill and you will run into the Asteroid boulder.
