Description
Ice climbing area accessed by walking up river on Fox Creek where you can find a wide waterfall. During peak season this fall can accommodate larger climbing parties ( easily 3 top rope set-ups). While many choose to lead, it is possible to scramble up the hill to the left of the falls. At the top of the falls there is a sturdy tree with a chain that can be used to build an anchor (there are leaver-beaners but upon last check could use some replacing).
Getting There
When driving south on the Parks highway, shortly after passing the other popular climb of the area, Dragonfly Creek, you will quickly come up on Fox Creek. There is room to park on the right (west) side of the road, in the summer time a gravel patch. After suiting up, walk toward the river and under the bride and head up river until you reach the falls. Depending on the time of year the river can have small ice bulges that are worth keeping an ice tool or two out to help you walk up them.
