Description
Madison wall is located on the quartzite cliff bands above the North Ogden Nature Center, and just south of the Nature Center Wall. It is facing south west, and gets morning and mid-day sun. It is steep, somewhat overhanging and has some great quality routes, with room for more. The approach is daunting, but that yields isolation.
Getting There
Park at the North Ogden Nature Center pull out on the east side of Harrison (which is called Mountain Road this far north). The address is 1176 N Mountain Road. Head east on the trail leaving the parking lot. You'll go up the hill to the north, and switch back some, eventually coming to a sign that says "bonneville shoreline" which will direct you back to the north. You should follow the fork that goes to the south. It will lead to a large cedar tree. At this point you will cut up the talus slope to the east. Follow the talus up between two large formations, the darker on on your right, and the one left is the Madison wall. The approach takes 45-60 min from the car, depending on how much you like to hop up large boulders.
