The large flake is on the ground now. Not sure if someone tore it off, or if it just came off, but there was a lot of flaky crap where it had been. After a good clean, it should be pretty solid. I don't think any routes are really affected too much Jun 2, 2010
I have a feeling that heat from the fire may have weakened the flake. That thing moves enough that it will probably come off onto the next person to tug on it. Maybe best to avoid it. Sep 25, 2009

The starting crimps are solid. But your right about the flake. One hard pull and that might end up in someones lap. Scary. I think back in the day the might have been a sit start to it. Sep 23, 2009

Be careful trying the B1+ rated routes from "Tucson Bouldering", the big flake sounds and feels pretty loose. I wouldn't want a faceful of that.

Edit: On review of the guide's beta, it looks like the "flake" referred to is really more of a diagonal "edge" to the right and above the large, hollow, loose flake. Use caution. Sep 20, 2009
