V5, Boulder,  Avg: 3.7 from 15 votes
FA: Joel (High Start: ICB/Kevin Baker)
Wisconsin > Baraboo Range > Devil's Lake > Devil's Lake Bo… > W Bluff > W Bluff Central > Superposition

Description

Sit start with left hand corner and right hand on obvious sidepull edge around the right corner. Climb fun compression on perfect holds up and left.

-Originally done from a high start on two sidepulls, "Snapper Stew" 8/2020 (FA: ICB/Kevin Baker)- probably a grade or 2 easier.

[Hide Comment] Hot Take: I think this is possibly the best V5 in the park. Admins, move this comment if necessary. We all know that the park doesn't hold that many 5's relative to the number of problems in the park. It's weird. We can probably all agree that many, and I mean many V4's are most likely V5. Either way, this boulder is near perfect IMO. Great landing, thanks Baker, Ian, Joel, etc., amazing holds all over it, and nice top-outs. I rant, but this is a gem!
Note: I have not climbed all the 5's, and I know there are many 4 star ones out there. Oct 8, 2025

[Hide Comment] I’ve done most, if not all of the best 5’s currently in park and definitely agree with Remo on this one. Really cool hidden wall with amazing grips. Oct 8, 2025

[Hide Comment] Really good problem. I might call them 6 and 5 and not 5 and 4 but the grades are close. Definitely some of the best in the range. Oct 27, 2025
