SPOILER ALERT! At nearly the end, where the rock turns grey and you’re presented with some cryptic, chalked-up crimps high above your head, DO NOT reach way ridiculously up and left, avoiding the crux. STAY WITH THE OBVIOUS CRIMPS and puzzle thru the devious sequence to win the day and rate the 7a.
Tall folks charting out left and climbing AROUND the crimp finish are robbing themselves of at least 2 YDS letter grades.
I mean, sure, you can do it. But DON’T go calling it 7a…..(Ahem….Patrick….)
