[Hide Comment] Arete climb. Feels sketchy because you can't place your first piece until you're about 20 feet high and it's pretty slabby/thin on the bottom for a 5.6. A fall might have you tumbling downhill. Once you get to the crack, it's great for bomber pieces. Jun 25, 2018

[Hide Comment] I think there's a wasp nest in the hand crack at the top. When I put my hand in it, 4 wasps came out so I immediately jumped back and lowered. Aug 4, 2025

[Hide Comment] Can confirm the wasp nest is still there, about 1/3 of the way up the crack, and they are quite angry about being disturbed . Aug 27, 2025

[Hide Comment] Wasps are still in the lower part of the hand crack. Must have been sleepy as they didn't come out until the 2nd person climbed the route. No stings or bites but they were buzzing around angrily.
Also you can fiddle in a couple horizontal offset cams, maybe a totem and/or a nut in the break about 10ft off the ground. Might not keep you off the deck if you blow it just below the upper hand crack, but it's not a mandatory 20ft runout at the start. Sep 23, 2025
[Hide Comment] Didn't see any wasp when I climbed it yesterday Apr 30, 2026
