Secret Cliffs

California > Eastern Sierra > Bishop Area > Pine Creek Canyon

Description

A great sunny cliff with a good mix of sport and "trad" and a good range of difficulty from 5.8 - probably 5.12. The cliff takes a little extra effort to get to so good chance you will have it to yourself. The impressive roof that dominates the setting is worth the hike alone.

Getting There

Turn right off Pine Creek Road after 7.7 miles onto a dirt road across from the campground. The road forks immediately, take the left fork and drive up a couple hundred yards to the parking area. The routes are located on the south facing cliff up and right of the parking lot. As mentioned above it takes a bit of effort to get up to the cliff also some easy scrambling is required. The easiest is from the right before reaching the cliff.
