The Missing Link Area

California > San Diego County > N San Diego County > Mt Woodson

Description

Group of hillside boulders, good place to get away from the afternoon sun. Not to bad, but a little hiking involved.

Getting There

From Seminar Wall head towards right longs crack, in the middle the trail it will split and head right or north east. You'll see a large boulder in the distance on the hillside after some bigger ground level slabs, the trail goes across the slabs or at the base of them. Head to the large boulder, to the NE of it you'll see the boulders.

[Hide Comment] There is a junky looking 20' tall block on the hanging meadow uphill and SW of the missing link that is actually solid and has a 5.11 called wild turkey.

If you go thru the tunnel north of the missing link, go left just before donnys par 3 and follow the track 100 feet downhill, where you will find "good for the soul" a beautiful 30' face with 2 routes, 5.9 and 5.10. Oct 1, 2011

[Hide Comment] I went over to checkered demon and sent it, but soon the landing will be wrecked with the poison oak that surrounds it. Great climb though, I recommend! Apr 15, 2012
