Ben May Dec 19, 2017 Butterfly Wall The downhill face of the patio boulder. This thing looks amazing, but the landing is sickening. A fall would easily wind up in the valley below. The overhanging black corner has crazy stemming and the right arete will go as well. We tried it by setting up a TR off of a few hand sized pieces on top, or use the large tree on the other side. A good setup is to use your rope to extend to biners at the lip then the rest of the rope gets like you're standard top rope. Sure it's only one rope for the anchor, but it' TRing a boulder. A great way to finish the day if you don't have enough juice left for a full route but have some time. ● Beautiful chunk of rock... wish it were in San Diego ; ) View Comment
