Zsa Zsa Gabor Memorial Boulder Rock Climbing

This is a large, cleanly cleaved boulder with excellent dark grey stone that is home to a couple of excellent, albeit short routes. Lesbian Lust
(5.9) and the Right Side Arete
(5.10a) are the routes to do here and are well worth the 45-60 minute approach. This can be a good place to visit if the weather is cold and windy with it's lower elevation and fairly sheltered location, not unlike the Bond Boulders.
Park at the south parking turnout (see OZ
overview for details) and head west in the wash past the turnoffs for Valley Of Voices and Emerald City. About 500 meters past the Poppie Field Boulders you'll encounter a rough section with some boulders, after which the wash levels out and becomes sandy again and opens into a broad, open valley. Turn right (heading north) and aim for some dark boulders lying at the base of a rocky hillside; the boulder is hidden for most of the approach but becomes visible when almost on it.

The northwest face of the Zsa Zsa Gabor Memorial Boulder is where you'll find this short but fun route on excellent rock. Begin just right of a triangular cutout on the north side of the boulder and lieback/smear your way along a low-angled arete to a creaky stance below a high first bolt. Steep friction on polished rock past the first bolt is the crux with more positive holds soon appearing in time for the small runout to the second bolt. Easy moves lead to the top and the anchors.
