The glorious falls wall. Could this thing be any more picturesque?

There are many wall type routes on here, but here are some of the highlights from right to left: Min-Ne-Ah, Yosemite Point Buttress, Lost Arrow Spire, GEEK Towers, Misty Wall, the Falls, and some more various wall routes, most of which are only doable when the falls are dry.

Getting There

Same approach as lost arrow spire. Park along the main road at the eastern end of the lower Yosemite falls parking. Walk through NPS residential area and head up some talus to gain the trail on top of the sunnyside bench cliff band. Traverse west on a nice trail, staying low at any forks. Eventually head up and right to gain the golden slab and trail that takes you through manzanita and leads to lost arrow spire/the base of the wall. ~1.5 hours at a casual pace. A good water source comes off the right side of the Geek Towers in the spring

It's also often said to be harder than A-man. However, I feel a comparison is not really helpful. Climbing wise, the two are completely different for the most part. Based on traffic they're in different dimensions. If pressed, I guess I'd say it's easier but a full on adventure. For those that head ...[more]   Browse More Classics in California
