Yangshuo - Too Rainy in April?

How is climbing in Yangshou in the spring? My wife and I are thinking about going about April 1-April 21. We can climb at the steeper cliffs (i.e. the dry ones) but how much rain should we expect?

Thanks!
Bart

Hey Bart, I don't think we've met, but I'm a CMS guide and have heard your name come up over the years.  Did you end up climbing in Yangshuo in April? How was the rain?  I'm looking at being there for a few weeks in mid April.  Thanks!

I live in the area and typically April is rainy season.  But one thing I've come to learn over the years living here is that the weather is very unpredictable.  For instance, last year the winter was warm and dry and you could climb almost everyday.  This year it is cold and wet and there have only been a few days each month to climb.  I would say if April is the only time you could come go for it because there will be plenty of climbs that will stay dry even if it is raining.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
