This is another collection of mini-cliffs and boulders that might be worth while for southern NH climbers that dont want to drive far. Not much developed yet but there are a few nice lines, mostly on the moderate side. I will post things as they develope, or if you head up there please post what problems you clean and send. There might be 15 or 20 lines total, not a big area but hey, its southern NH what do you want!

The rock is on the east side of Yacum hill off rt 114 in goffstown. Check it out on a map before heading out cause there is a little bush whack to be had.

Getting There

Park on Rt 114 at a big sandy pull out at a big powerline clear cut with lots of exposed rock. Hike up the powerline over the first rise and start coming down the other side. Look for a trail off to the right at a strip of exposed rock. follow this trail as it curves up hill to another powerline. head right and up another hill. toward the top of the hill there is a nice boulder or two in the woods to the right and more on the hillside to your left. you can see the rocks when the trees are leafless but cant see much in the summer. no real trails to the rocks as of yet.

There is a road on the other side of the hill that you could hike in on but parking seems like a big problem over there.

Climbing Season

For the Southern NH and Seacoast area.

The farthest left usable rock forms a corner with a big loose block on one wall that looks a bit spooky to stand under. this line climbs left of the corner on a slightly dirty looking but fun wall with interesting holds. Sit start low and tech your way up. fun moves all the way....[more]   Browse More Classics in New Hampshire
