  • Description

This is a large boulder off of Mesa Trail before the mouth of Eldorado Canyon. I'm not sure if this is named or documented in any guidebooks (that I haven't yet checked). However, this boulder is well-featured and great to climb upon. This boulder has numerous top out routes and a decent traverse.

    Getting There

Walk up Mesa Trail until you pass the first fork in the trail. From there, continue about 500 feet further until you reach a boulder on the right that is easily visible from the trail.

On the Northwest face of the boulder, there is an obvious, vertical face with an obvious hand crack. Climb the larger of the two up the face. Start on small feet and crimp working your way up the crack to a good edge and various other sloppers on the lip. From there, work your feet up, moving mostly on smears....[more]   Browse More Classics in Colorado
