Also, ugly chalk marks on critical holds usually with a boulder problem; and also the nasty little harbingers of spring. The "the ticks are out" threads will be starting in a few weeks.

ticks were out in full force up in south saint vrain this weekend. i had about 20 of them on my pants when we got back to the car on sunday. ugghh. even had 1 up my shirt on saturday.

luckily in my case the pun wasn't realized, literall or figuratively. kevin, if you want to see a tick, SSV is the place to go. Every single time we have climbed there between mid february and early june, we have had at least 1 of the little bugger on us. it's like the tick capital of colorado.
