Description

A fun and unique climb for the grade. Two tough moves keep you motivated for the huge rest in the top pod. Tricky move out to the chains. Overall a stellar warm up for those cold winter days.

Classic.

Protection

Bolts to anchors.

Location

Right of Holy Shit, this route climbs a rope up a slab to start. Follow the huge pods.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to have the Hanta Virus after doing this route. I inhaled so much bird poop and/or bat guano on this climb I felt sick afterwards. This is nowhere near as classic as everyone suggests. It's got a few good moves followed by two wedge yourself into the pods and take a full rest. If this route was continuous it would have been classic, but with the two rests not so much.

I didn't find any animal poop on this route to detract from it. It is rather short with a lot of awkward and funky moves. There are probably better climbs in the area to do.

The route is so unique, three dimensional and in such an amazing setting that its worth driving out to the cathedral just to climb it. The "wedge your self into the pods" game is totally fun.
