WM: Kaysinger Rock Climbing
As written in Missouri Limestone Select
"Kaysinger Bluff is Warsaw's nearest neighbor. 25 to 75-foot tall black and white limestone bluffs tower over the Truman Lake Dam. All of the estblished routes here are climbed on top-rope. Each route has a two-bolt top-rope anchor that is easy to get to from the top of the bluff. The rock is the same nature as that of Warsaw, but because this is a new area, loose rock still lingers about. Probably the easiest approach of all the areas in Missouri, just park in the paved parking lot 30 yards across the street from the bluff. A trail leads to the top from the right. Be aware that these climbs are below the Truman Lake Visitors Center and tourists often walk around above as you climb."
Kaysinger Bluff is located on Truman Lake, above the east end of the dam. From Hwy 7 turn north onto SW 621 Road. Follow 621 to the only stop sign (a "T" junction) and turn right. Go across the dam and park in a small paved parking lot on the right (south). Kaysinger Bluff is the obvious rock north across the street, below and to the right of the spaceship-looking visitors center. Park in the lot and walk across the street to the climbs.
