The largest crag in the area. Quarried or natural limestone, routes up to 300 feet long. Mainly west facing. Great views over the Wye (a tidal section of the river) - not to be confused with the River Wye in Derbyshire!.
From Chepstow take the B4228 to the village of Wintour's Leap. Park at the top and walk down - on first visit it's best to take the long way round (Lancaut Walk) to get a good view of the cliff.
Climbing Season For the England area.

Sort some good pro in a finger-size slot to the right, then make an insecure mantle onto a tiny ledge. Past this crux climb more easily up and right in a groove to finish....[more] Browse More Classics in International
