Description Suggest change

The best wall/area at Barndoor Gap, with the highest concentration of problems. The Winter Wall is a cave like feature at the end of Barndoor gap. It's routes range from hard bouldering to easy trad. The rock here is of decent quality, though expect to break off some holds when trying to find new routes.

On the left side of the wall lies a thirty foot vertical crack system that goes at around 5.8. To the right the cave becomes overhanging at about forty-five degree, and hosts a variety of boulder problems. Still further right are several potential lines that could be done on TR or as highball problems.

Getting There Suggest change

Follow the path over the top of Barndoor Gap, and around the backside to the bottom of the cliff. The Winter Wall is the most overhanging and impressive section of this small scraggly cliff band.
Alternatively, walk along a stone wall at the bottom of the cliff until you reach the end of the cliff line. The Winter Wall will be very obvious.
