Why is it so hard to get a reliable conditions report from those guys in Ouray?

I know that the park is always "in". But I guess I have to drive 6 hours and personally check out The Ribbon or Bridalveil, because those guys in Ouray don't know jack.

What guys are you referring to? And the ice park is closed FYI.

Entitled much? Also, the Ice Park isn't always in, since ya know, its closed. God forbid you have to put the time and effort in to go check out a climb to see if its in shape! Oh the horror of it all!

There is a friendly FB page that dispenses such conditions reports. Maybe if you seemed like a nicer person I would give it to you.

It's bc they hate you, yep, they all talk about you and conspire to withhold information from you

Facebook! Of course!

Why did I think that actually talking to a live human would work?!?

Why would the guys in Ouray know about conditions on a line in Telluride? That's like asking guys at Vail what the skiing is like RIGHT THIS MINUTE at Copper.

The park is free and most of the work is volunteer so I don't know that it's worth complaining about.

You know real people post on FB right? Like, real human beings that breath and climb and such. Just as real as the people on MP.

There are several guide outfits and pages outlining conditions in the telluride, silverton, ouray area. Search engines are amazing.

To the above question regarding good TR other than the park... if you can lead the pitch first. Yes. The ice situation is all but dead on the lower stuff anyway. Funky year.

Colorado Ice Conditions is the name of the FB page.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
