Booked a trip to boulder for spring break in April was hoping to do some bouldering in RMNP but i don't know what the season is like and what areas would be accessible. I want to start looking into a mini project for the trip, possibly Tommy's Arete.

Otherwise I'm hoping to rope up in edlo and do a flat iron or two.

There will be heavy snow in chaos canyon and emerald lake (the two main areas with many classics) you may be able to hit some boulders in the lower lying areas of the park however I am notfamiliar with any of the areas.

How ever if you drive down to Boulder there will be plenty to get on. If its sunny and hasnt stormed boulder canyon, eldo, flagstaff, flatirons should all be in good shape.

Maybe I'll go back and see if I can send it when the start is 10 feet higher.

Like others mentioned it's pretty weather dependent based on snowfall. Two years ago emerald lake was perfect in march, last year it was all buried until may or so?

Lumpy will be open, veritas boulder, and probably some of the outlying areas. If you are lucky maybe some of the alpine stuff. Great time of the year for poudre if you don't mind driving some and bringing a tarp.

Good luck.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
