BETA PHOTO: West Face of the Warm-up Boulder.

Description

This is a fairly large-sized boulder sitting in a field on the left side of the road halfway between the cattleguard and the main cluster of blocks around the Buena Boulder. The perfectly flat landing, and the great topout holds make for solid beginner problems and work great for warm-ups.

Walk off the back.

Getting There

Walk north from the main parking for about a quarter mile or use one of the small pulloffs that are within view of the boulder.

Climbing Season

For the Buena Vista area.

Weather station 4.5 miles from here

I climbed these lines on Saturday 9/3. I am assuming these are not first ascents by any means, due to the proximity/ visibility from the road. However, this boulder is a decent distance from the main group of blocks that were already posted on mountain project for Nathrop. If anyone knows who might have climbed these problems, please let me know. If I can't find any information upon further investigation, I'll claim them!

Cheers,

Steve G
