Description

Slightly overhung jug haul. When I first came to Maple, I expected all the easy routes to be like this. Most of the beginner climbs turned out to be surprisingly thin and crimpy (I'm looking at you, Orangutan Wall). This is the antidote to that: big moves and large holds.

Location

in the middle of the rightmost wall of the cove.

Protection

six bolts plus two thick hangers to rap off of

Just a heads up, at the time of this writing this climb was pretty new and still had some stuff coming off it, especially on the lower feet on the opening moves. I'd advise a stick clip until it's cleaned up. My partner blew a huge cobble off on the first move.

Seems to have cleaned up some since the last comment. We didn't pull anything off. But like the other routes in the area it its still a little dirty. Fun route though.

This route was absolutely gorgeous. Fun, juggy, great movement. Route felt clean.

At the time of this writing, a bird's nest with hatched eggs resides about halfway up. Be careful not to disturb this precious feature, so that other climbers might be able to yell, "CUUUUTE!!!" on their way to the send.
