Description

There is a cool little steep crag in back of the old folks apartment complex on Ward St. This was a 5 min. walk from my house on Adams Ave. I bouldered here constantly. Wait until the trees are leafed out for privacy... Approach through the apartment cul-de-sac. I never once saw anyone here. Nor did I ever see any chalk besides my own. Also, no one ever seemed to notice my presence in the dozens of times I visited. But then again, I was always alone. Be discrete and forget the pad. There is a ridge of very good rock that runs through the Adams Ave, Ward St, and West Rocks Rd area but it's mostly in back yards.

Getting There

Find the seniors apartment complex on Ward St. in Norwalk. It's behind the trees right in back.

Climbing Season

For the Western Coastal Slope area.

Weather station 7.9 miles from here

Hi Morgan! There is also a cool little crag up Green Mtn. Dr. off of E. Rocks Rd. It's on the right and pretty obvious. This street got a bunch of houses built on it since I used to go there, which was a long time ago, so it may be not be so sweet now. But then again I used to be able to hide behind the foliage. There is also a crag right across from where I grew up at 44 Adams Ave. Again, it's since been sqeezed by houses...Oh to be a teenaged trespasser again.
