The cactus are blooming at Texas Canyon.

Description

Waco Wall is the slab that rests on the west side of the ravine below the Pangea Wall at Texas Canyon. The name, which honors the Texas theme at Texas Canyon, is a misnomer as there are scarcely more than two or three huecos or pockets on this short wall, unlike the other walls throughout Texas Canyon. The Waco Wall consists of fine grained Sandstone Conglomerate that hosts small sharp xenoliths that are solidly embedded into the surrounding matrix. Fun, "sticky" friction, small hold pulling, and technical footwork characterize the climbing on the Waco Wall for sure.

Getting There

Walk downhill from the north end of The Canyon. The Waco Wall is the slab on the left with the yellow lichen and the right slanting seams.
