Description

This popular limestone area is reportedly one of the best in Bulgaria. It is quite reminiscent of El Potrero Chico in Mexico. The cliffs are generally in the sun all day and many popular climbs are a 10-15 minute approach.

More info may be found at:
climbingguidebg.com/cdb.php?f=...

According to local climbers, the area is reportedly crawling with dozens of poisonous vipers in hot weather!

Classic routes include:
February (5.9; 3 pitches) on the Tooth
Thirsty Dragon (5.9; 2 pitches) on the Spacemen Wall
Sofia (5.10a; 2 pitches) on the Spacemen Wall

Getting There

While it might be possible to get public transportation to this area from Sofia, a car is certainly the quickest way. Depending on weather and traffic, it will take 1-1.5 hours to drive to the area from downtown Sofia.
