Description

Vodka Block is a great, free standing block on the ridge line with two classic lines. It is secluded with a better, arial view of the Valley and the Monument. The rock quality is great and matches the landing.

Getting There

From Easy Block, hike up the trail to the top of the ridge line. Vodka Block is the first free standing boulder you'll see on the left hand side as you hike up.

Climbing Season

For the Dynamite Shacks area.

The Shacks' version of Cocaine Corner in Camp 4!! Vodka Arete is one of my personal favorites- though I've never sent the f*****. This is the curving, southeast arete that gets harder the higher you go.It can be done as a sit or stand start at roughly the same grade, but I recommend the sit start- it adds a cool sequence to get established on the arete....[more]   Browse More Classics in CO
