Description

Victoria Peak is the second highest peak in Belize (Doyle's Delight is the highest) and requires climbing to reach the summit.

The trip involves about 50km of hiking through rugged jungle terrain and normally two or three nights spent in hammocks.

Only guided trips are allowed to the peak, generally between February and May of each year (the dry season).

The peak is administered by the Belize Audubon Society. See belizeaudubon.org/?page_id=397...

Getting There

The Victoria Peak trail starts from the headquarters of the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary near the village of Maya Centre.
