Park at electronic key gate and walk along the road MORE INFO >>>

Single pitch sport climbs and some trad. Approximately 20 climbs ranging from 5.7 to 5.11. Open air and great views. No shade. Rock is a little crumbly, but didn't feel dangerous.

Getting There

Approximately 1.5 - 2 hours north from Keflavik International Airport. From Reykjavik, take the eastern coastal highway (Highway 1) north toward Akranes. Before the toll bridge to Akranes, turn right to follow route 47 toward Melar and shortly after turn right to follow route 460. Travel 7km on gravel until you reach a sign saying Valshamar. Reach the private gate, park and walk the gravel road to reach the crag. You may either walk the road up hill and turn left to hike along a fence to the crag or take the first left turn and hike a path uphill.
